Hello!
Welcome to Rollers.no, a Norwegian social/recreational inline and nordic skating club in Oslo, the capitol of Norway. Surprisingly we actually get a few hits from around Europe and this page is just to help you understand what’s going up here in our part of Scandinavia. You might also just recently have arrived in Oslo, not being fluent in Norwegian, and wondering where to skate!
We meet once or twice a week during the summer, either Tuesday or Thursday at 17:00, for a bit of easy skate practice at the Valle Hovin long track near Helsfyr in Oslo. Both buses and the underground (T-banen) stop nearby this open air ice speed skating track. We welcome all skaters, usually splitting the group up in a beginners and an advanced section, some staying at the track and some doing a group skate in the neighborhood. We loan out inline skates, pads and helmets if you are a beginner or just visiting Oslo Tuesday or Thursday afternoon.
We also manage an easy weekly Saturday or Sunday morning skate along the harbor.
A Friday Night Skate with music is the latest happening. We meet at Aker Brygge every Friday at 19.00. Come along and join in the fun!
We have been known to travel a bit with our inlines and are always interested in skating elsewhere. Members have skated in Denmark, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, England and the USA.
One particular member, who has too much time on his hands, has attended both Barry Publow’s and Eddy Matzger’s workshops here in Europe. He usually skates around recommending them warmly. He also dreams of a Friday Night Skate in Oslo.
We would love more people to come, the more the merrier.
There’s always a few kids with their parents so bring the young ones with you! We can offer slalom practice, have hockey equipment and have been known to have a jump or two.
We are one of the two or three social skating scenes in Oslo and are mentioned in the media several times a year.
In the winter we are to be found out on lake, river or sea ice, skating Nordic Skating style. These are half meter long skates with standard ski bindings that fit ordinary ski or hiking boots.
Feel free to contact us if you have any skating in Oslo questions, just decipher the email address below. If we can’t help we probably know someone who can.

Hi,
I am here with my family from San Francisco for a year. Me and my two sons are looking for a place to play roller hockey–either indoor or outdoor, pickup or organized league. Any onfo you could provide would be most appreciated. We are living near Gaustad. We have all our own gear.
Best,
Kevin
